back home again…in indiana

Well it’s finally arrived.  Tomorrow is June 30th.  The day Jim and I leave for Indiana, (also a certain someones birthday).  Much excitement and anticipation.  Staying in Chicago for a couple of days, and then Jim gets the grand tour of the Hoosier state, which he so lovingly refers to as “One of those square states.”  Which necessarily isn’t true, rectangle maybe, but not square.   Look forward to lots of pics and videos upon our return.  Till then.

Before the Parade passes by

Gay pride parade yesterday.  Gone are the days of sitting in the hot sun and watching the whole thing.   Now..find a shaded area to watch just a little bit.  Maybe one year we’ll sit and watch the whole thing with a cooler and lawn chairs, but till then a little bit will do.  Can’t help but think as you walk pass Stonewall almost 40 years ago it all began.  And the life I lead and was born into would be a life of hiding, secret, hush, hush don’t speak about it.  Still  more to do, but let’s hope it’s not another 40.
